| Obverse description | Armored bust of Duke Georg Rudolf of Liegnitz facing right, wearing a ruffled collar and elaborately decorated cuirass with ornamental breastplate detail. The effigy is set within a plain inner circle. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust along the outer border, reading partially G·GEORG·D·G·DUC·SILE·LIGNIC·BREG·ET·GOLD, identifying the ruler by name and title. The portrait is rendered in the typical early 17th-century Germanic style with fine engraving of the drapery and armor. |
