Obverse description Right-facing draped and armored bust of Empress Elizabeth I of Russia, crowned and wearing an imperial mantle with elaborate ornamentation. The empress is depicted with a diadem set with pearls and a jeweled brooch visible at the shoulder. A beaded inner border frames the design, with the Latin legend encircling the effigy in the outer field.
