Reverse description A bull charging to the right in a dynamic pose, rendered with vigorous naturalism characteristic of Sicilian bronze coinage of the early Hellenistic period. The legend BAΣIΛEOΣ appears above the bull in the upper field, and ΦINTIA is inscribed in the lower field or exergue, together referencing the authority of King Phintias of Akragas. A control dot is visible in the lower left field. The flan is irregular and the strike slightly off-centre, consistent with contemporary hammered bronze production.
