| Obverse description | Bare head of Augustus facing right, rendered in a restrained classical style typical of early Imperial provincial coinage. The portrait displays the characteristic features of Augustan iconography, with a subtly idealized profile and short hair swept forward over the brow. A partial encircling legend surrounds the bust in the field. The flan is irregular and somewhat compact, consistent with provincial mint production at Emerita Augusta. |
