| Obverse description | Bare laureate head of Augustus facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Emerita mint. The imperial portrait displays the emperor's features in right profile with the laurel wreath clearly delineated. The surrounding legend reads PERM CAES AVG, distributed around the field, indicating the coinage was struck by imperial permission. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show the characteristic roughness of a bronze provincial issue. |
