Obverse description The arms of Lucerne on an ornate baroque oval shield supported by two wild men crowned with oak wreaths, the left figure holding a sword and the right holding a palm branch. Radiating sunburst fills the background field. The engraver's initials C·H· appear in the lower field below the shield.

Reverse description Saint Leodegar seated to the left in episcopal vestments and mitre, holding a crosier, with a putto at his feet holding a drill and palm leaf; Saint Maurice seated to the right in full armour with a feathered helmet, holding a lance bearing a pennant, with a putto at his feet holding a sword and palm leaf. Between them, an ornate cartouche surmounted by the twin-towered façade of the Collegiate Church of Saint Leodegar in the middle ground. The date 1702 appears in the lower exergue flanked by stars.
