Beschrijving voorzijde	Bare-headed bust of King Ernest August facing right, with fine portrait detail in high relief. The legend encircles the effigy reading ERNST AUGUST V.G.G. KOENIG V. HANNOVER. The truncation of the bust is plain. The field is smooth and the portrait is rendered in a classical Germanic style characteristic of mid-19th century German state coinage.
