| Obverse description | Central device comprises the arms of the Republic of Biafra: a tall palm tree rising from a mound above a rising sun with radiating rays, the entire composition enclosed within a crescent-shaped eagle displayed with wings stylised as curved talons. The border is formed by a continuous ring of raised beads. The legend PEACE·UNITY·FREEDOM curves along the lower periphery in raised Latin capitals, separated by raised dots. |
