Reverse description The reverse displays the denomination 2 1/2 in large numerals at the top of the field, followed by four lines of legend reading SCHILLING / SCHLESWHOLST. / COURANT. / and the date, with the mintmaster initials M.F. in the exergue. The inscriptions are arranged in straight horizontal lines filling the entire coin field, with no surrounding border legend. The typographic layout is characteristic of utilitarian late 18th-century German-area billon coinage.
