| Beschrijving voorzijde | Printed entirely in red on cream paper, the obverse is framed by a decorative border of traditional Sumatran foliate and spiral motifs at each corner. A central horizontal vignette of stylised elongated leaf or boat forms flanks the large numeral '2½' at centre top, beneath which the denomination 'DUA SETENGAH RUPIAH' is boldly printed in letterpress. A text panel below carries the legal tender clause with serial number and the issuing location and date 'TANDJUNGKARANG 1 Juni 1948', accompanied by a manuscript signature; an oval official residency stamp is applied to the upper right. |
