Obverse description The national emblem of Oman occupies the central field, depicting a khanjar dagger superimposed over two crossed swords, with a belt encircling the junction — rendered in fine relief. The Arabic legend arcs around the upper portion of the field, reading 'Qabus bin Sa'id' from right to left, while the Hijri date 1397 appears in Eastern Arabic numerals at the lower centre, flanked by the inscription 'Sultan of Oman' curving along the lower field. The design is contained within a toothed inner border.
