The legend DIE CONCORDIER CANTONE DER SCHWEIZ encircles the design between the beaded circle and the milled outer rim, reading continuously around the periphery. The overall composition is rendered in a clean, classical style consistent with early nineteenth-century Swiss cantonal coinage. |
