Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of a ruler facing right, rendered in a late antique style with schematic curling hair and simplified drapery folds at the shoulder. The portrait occupies the central field and is surrounded by a partial legend in debased Latin characters. The engraving reflects the provincial workshop tradition of the Vandal Carthage mint, with bold but relatively crude die-cutting characteristic of the period.
