Obverse description Lilac-red on brown underprint. Central oval vignette of a reclining allegorical female figure holding a branch, with a fruit basket at her side, set within a guilloche border. Denomination numerals '2 1/2' appear in all four corners, with the issuer's name 'DE SURINAAMSCHE BANK TE PARAMARIBO' across the top and the value inscription 'TWEE EN EEN HALVEN GULDEN' in a banner at the bottom, above the printer's imprint.

Reverse description Lilac-red on plain ground. The colonial coat of arms of Suriname occupies the center, supported by two indigenous figures and bearing a vignette of a sailing trade vessel on the shield. The motto ribbon below reads 'Justitia – Pietas – Fides', with denomination numerals '2 1/2' flanking the arms on either side.
