Obverse description Ornate quartered coat of arms combining the arms of Mainz (the wheel) and Kronberg, displayed within an elaborately mantled escutcheon occupying the central field. Three helmets surmount the shield, richly adorned with crests and lambrequins in high relief. A continuous Latin legend encircles the composition in the outer ring, reading along the coin's entire circumference.
