Obverse description Central field dominated by the ornate tughra (imperial monogram) of Sultan Abdul Hamid I, rendered in fine calligraphic relief against a smooth gold field. The tughra displays the characteristic looped and interlaced script with upward-projecting shafts (tuğ) and a sweeping leftward bow. The central device is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, itself surrounded by a broad decorative border of elaborate floral and foliate arabesque motifs featuring intertwined vines, blossoms, and berry clusters in high relief, characteristic of late 18th-century Ottoman coin artistry.
