| Obverse description | The obverse features an abstract sculptural design by Joana Vasconcelos composed of two fluid, interlocking curvilinear forms rendered in low relief across the field, evoking movement and athleticism. At center, the denomination '2.5 EURO' is inscribed within an organically shaped cartouche formed by the interplay of the decorative lines.
