| Reverse description | The gold centre field features a highly detailed depiction of a traditional arrecada earring from Viana do Castelo, a celebrated example of Portuguese filigree goldsmithing. The earring is shown in full, displaying its characteristic crescent-shaped body richly decorated with granulation, repousse floral and fan motifs, and beaded borders, with a hooked suspension fitting at the top.
