2 1/2 Euro Granary houses from northwest of Portugal

The espigueiros of the Minho and Lima river valleys — the granary structures this coin commemorates — are among the most architecturally distinctive agricultural buildings in Iberia, designed specifically to maximise airflow around stored maize while keeping rodents out.
