| Reverse description | The denomination 2 1/2 CENT is boldly displayed in two lines at the centre of the field, with the fractional numeral occupying the upper portion and CENT below. The entire central device is encircled by a finely detailed wreath of fruiting branches, tied at the base with a ribbon bow and opening at the top, lending a classical decorative frame to the plainly stated face value. The field is otherwise unadorned, giving the reverse a clean, legible appearance typical of utilitarian Dutch bronze coinage of the period. |
