| Beschrijving keerzijde | The denomination 2 1/2 is displayed in large, bold numerals at center, with the word CENT in capital letters beneath, all set within an open wreath composed of flowering and fruiting branches tied at the base with a decorative ribbon bow. The wreath branches, bearing stylized blossoms and round fruits, extend symmetrically from the lower field and meet at the top, framing the denomination. The field is otherwise plain, lending emphasis to the central inscription. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
The Netherlands Antilles was formally constituted as an autonomous country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands in 1954, and this denomination entered circulation shortly after as part of the first coinage series issued under that new political arrangement. The 2½-cent fraction was a practical inheritance from Dutch colonial monetary habit — the same fractional logic that produced the stuiver and its subdivisions across centuries of Dutch overseas administration.
Production ended in 1965, after which the denomination was quietly retired rather than replaced.
