Beschrijving voorzijde	The obverse features the national coat of arms of Panama prominently displayed in the center of the field, depicting the quartered shield with a cornucopia, a winged wheel, crossed swords, and a shovel, surmounted by a condor with outstretched wings. The upper legend reads REPUBLICA DE PANAMA 75° ANIVERSARIO, arcing along the periphery, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the republic, with a row of small stars separating the two lines of text. The motto PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO and the Franklin Mint mark FM appear on the obverse, along with the denomination 2 1/2 CENTESIMOS inscribed along the lower border, flanked by raised dots.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The reverse bears a forward-facing portrait bust of Victoriano Lorenzo, the Panamanian indigenous guerrilla leader and national hero, rendered in moderate relief against a stippled field. The subject is depicted wearing a collared jacket and tie, his gaze directed straight ahead in a composed and dignified manner. The legend VICTORIANO LORENZO curves along the upper periphery in bold raised lettering, running from left to right. The date 1978 is inscribed along the lower border, centered beneath the portrait.
