| Opmerkingen |
Banca Națională a României has produced artistic reproduction notes before — the centenary series issued around 2018 used a similar format to commemorate historical designs without assigning legal tender status. This 2025 paper reproduction of the 20 Lei follows that tradition of officially sanctioned collector facsimiles, distinct from the polymer notes currently in circulation.
Mihai Cosmin Dinu has worked on several BNR numismatic projects. Paper substrate rather than polymer marks this explicitly as a reproduction, not a circulating issue.
