The obverse features the iconic Walking Liberty design, adapted from Adolph A. Weinman's 1916 half dollar. The draped figure of Liberty strides boldly toward the rising sun, her right arm outstretched and her left arm cradling oak and laurel branches. She wears a flowing gown and a starred flag draped over her shoulders, with the legend LIBERTY inscribed vertically along the left rim. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST appears in the right field, and the commemorative date range 1776–2026 is inscribed along the lower exergue. The West Point mint mark (W) and a privy mark appear to the right of Liberty's figure. |

The reverse presents a heraldic bald eagle in dynamic landing posture, wings fully spread and talons extended toward an oak branch, as designed by Emily Damstra. The eagle is rendered in high relief against the deeply mirrored proof field, conveying exceptional detail in the feathers and musculature. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA arcs along the upper border, while the inscriptions E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, and ONE DOLLAR are arranged along the lower and right perimeter. The West Point mint mark (W) appears in the right field near the eagle's wing, along with the designer's initials. |
