China Golddeal Investment Co. Ltd. is a registered issuer of commemorative notes marketed primarily as collectibles rather than legal tender — a distinction that matters here. These pieces carry no issuing authority from the People's Bank of China and circulate entirely within the gift and collectibles trade. The choice of the China Banknote Printing and Minting Corporation as printer is deliberate: CBPMC's involvement lends a technical credibility that purely private print runs cannot claim, and the security printing quality is genuinely comparable to circulating currency.
The Shanghai Disney Resort opened in June 2016, and this note was timed directly to that launch — one of several licensed commemorative formats produced around the opening.
