La exterior este inscripţionat textul GRADINA BOTANICA `ANASTASIE FATU` Iaşi. (Translation: The obverse of the medal depicts the tower-greenhouse of the Botanical Garden of Iaşi, in the center, a palm tree (Chrysalidocarpus lutescens) below it, and above, the coat of arms of the institution celebrating the anniversary.
