| Reverse description | A richly coloured Beijing opera facial mask (liǎnpǔ) representing the legendary warrior deity Guan Yu is depicted in the centre of the coin, rendered in vivid red and black enamel with elaborate headdress details. The mask occupies the majority of the reverse field and is executed in the traditional polychrome style associated with Chinese theatrical art. Decorative cloud and floral motifs in the gold field frame the central design on either side. The denomination '2000元' appears in the lower portion of the field in incuse Chinese numerals and the yuan symbol, anchoring the composition. |
