| 备注 |
The Bank of Pei Hai (北海銀行) was established in 1938 in Shandong under Communist Party control, making it one of the longer-running regional red banks operating behind Japanese lines and later against Nationalist forces. By 1948, when this note was issued, the bank was in its final year — it was absorbed into the newly established People's Bank of China in December 1948, with its notes gradually withdrawn from circulation.
The "L" suffix in the Pick reference denotes a specific regional variant within what is a large and taxonomically complex series. Distinguishing genuine examples from the numerous contemporary counterfeits produced by Nationalist agents remains a documented authentication concern for this denomination.
