Aanvullende informatie

Uganda issued a run of silver-plated commemoratives in the mid-2000s featuring international football stars, capitalizing on the sport's global popularity rather than any direct connection between the subjects and the country. Totti was at the height of his Roma career during this period, having won the Serie A top scorer award in 2006-07, though the coin predates that particular achievement.

These issues were struck for the collector market, not circulation. The silver plating on copper-nickel blanks means surface integrity is the primary concern on surviving examples — once the plating breaks, it goes fast.
