The legend आदिकवि भानुभक्त आचार्य (First Poet Bhanu Bhakta Acharya) is inscribed in Devanagari script around or adjacent to the portrait. The denomination रू २००० (Rs. 2000) appears below the effigy, accompanied by the commemorative inscription द्वि शतवार्षिकी १८७१ - २०७१ (200th Anniversary 1871–2071 BS, i.e. 1814–2014 AD) marking the bicentenary of the poet's birth. |
