The beast is rendered in bold high relief with finely detailed musculature and fur, occupying the majority of the reverse field. The legend 'BULL OF CLARENCE' arcs in raised serif capitals along the upper periphery, with the designer's initials 'DL' to the right, and the date '2023' inscribed in the lower exergue. The overall composition draws on the heraldic tradition of the Tudor royal supporters as displayed at Hampton Court. |
