| Reverse description | A powerfully modelled Bull of Clarence, one of the ten Tudor Royal Beasts, is depicted seated and rearing, with its forelegs resting upon a shield charged with the Tudor double rose. The beast is rendered in bold high relief with finely detailed musculature and fur, occupying the majority of the reverse field. The legend 'BULL OF CLARENCE' arcs in raised serif capitals along the upper periphery, with the designer's initials 'DL' to the right, and the date '2023' inscribed in the lower exergue. The overall composition draws on the heraldic tradition of the Tudor royal supporters as displayed at Hampton Court. |
