A fantasy note, not a currency instrument. Franck Medina has produced a series of these Indo-Chinese-themed pieces — collectibles designed to evoke the aesthetic of French colonial-era Indochina issues without replicating any specific historical note. The issuing authority named here never existed; the Banque de l'Indochine was the actual colonial institution, and no "Banque de Réserve" successor or parallel body was ever established.

The watermark is a nod to period security practice rather than a functional anti-counterfeiting measure. Catalog value is driven entirely by Medina's market and print run size, not by monetary history.
