Reverse description The reverse depicts a detailed frontal view of the Temple of the Inscriptions at Palenque, the celebrated Maya pyramid-temple located in Chiapas, Mexico, rendered with fine relief showing its broad stepped base, central stairway, and the multi-roomed temple structure at the summit. The inscription 'PALENQUE' appears in the left field alongside the pyramid. The arc legend 'PATRIMONIO DE LA HUMANIDAD' curves along the upper periphery, while the denomination '2000 PTAS' is inscribed across the lower field, the entire composition celebrating the UNESCO World Heritage status of the ancient Maya site.
