Obverse description Conjoined busts of King Juan Carlos I and Crown Prince Felipe facing right, rendered in high relief against a smooth field. The king is depicted in civilian dress with a suit and tie, his portrait placed slightly in front of that of the younger Prince Felipe, also in suit and tie. The circular legend reads 'JUAN CARLOS I REY DE ESPANA' along the upper rim, with the date '1991' inscribed at the base between two raised dots.
