Obverse description Conjoined busts of King Juan Carlos I and Crown Prince Felipe, both facing right, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail. The king appears in the foreground dressed in a suit and tie, with the prince depicted slightly behind and to his right. The circumferential legend reads JUAN CARLOS I REY DE ESPAÑA, arranged along the upper and lower border of the raised rim. The date 1991 appears in the lower field, flanked by two raised dots.
