Description de l’avers	Intaglio portrait of painter Juan Manuel Blanes at right, set against a pink and red guilloche underprint. The Uruguayan coat of arms appears at upper left, with two facsimile signatures and their printed title designations below; denomination panels in red are placed at lower left and lower right. The issuer legend and date are printed at upper centre and right, with the note value repeated in both numeral and word form.
