The upper portion carries the Romanian Coat of Arms, a transparent window, the issuing bank title BANCA NAȚIONALĂ A ROMÂNIEI with the BNR monogram, while the lower portion bears the face value in numerals and letters 2.000 lei DOUA MII and the year of issue 1999. To the right, the face value DOUA MII 2.000 is repeated vertically, and a metameric filter window appears in the lower right corner; the authorised signatures of the Governor and the Chief Cashier are placed vertically along the left. |
