| Obverse description | The national emblem of the Lao People's Democratic Republic is prominently depicted in the centre of the field, featuring the Pha That Luang stupa flanked by paddy rice sheaves and a gear wheel at the base, all within a wreathed surround. The legend THE LAO PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC curves along the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering, while the denomination 2000 KIP is inscribed along the lower portion. A fine beaded border encircles the entire design. The mirror-like proof field provides strong contrast against the frosted relief elements. |
