| Obverse description | Central motif depicts a dramatically rendered dinosaur egg in the process of hatching, its shell fractured into jagged shards radiating outward across the field in high relief. At the center of the broken shell, a large reptilian eye with a vertical slit pupil gazes forward with striking detail, evoking the imminent emergence of the predator. The legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 2000 FRANCS CFA and date 2024 are inscribed along the lower arc. The weight indicator 2 OZ appears to the left of the central motif, and the fineness mark Ag 999 to the right. The entire composition is struck in antique finish, enhancing the textural contrast between the smooth eye and the fragmented eggshell. |
