| Obverse description | Central field dominated by an intricate Norse-style knotwork composition executed in high relief, featuring two intertwined serpentine beasts or dragons rendered in the Urnes-influenced Viking artistic tradition, their sinuous bodies forming elaborate interlaced patterns. At the apex of the central medallion, the Valknut — three interlocked triangles, symbol of Odin — is prominently displayed above a solar or compass wheel motif at centre.
