The national coat of arms of the Gabonese Republic occupies the central field, depicting a shield charged in the upper half with three roundels on a horizontal band and in the lower half with a sailing ship on water, supported on either side by a black panther rampant. Above the shield, a green Okoumé tree flanked by two scrolls bearing the national mottoes; below, a scroll inscribed UNION TRAVAIL JUSTICE. The circular legend RÉPUBLIQUE GABONAISE runs along the upper periphery. The denomination 1000 FRANCS CFA and the date 2014 appear in the lower field, flanked by the silver fineness mark Ag 925 to the left and the weight indication 15,55 and mint mark to the right. |

The reverse presents a detailed zodiac composition centered on the Capricorn sign. A prominent relief figure of a sea-goat leaping rightward occupies the right-center field against a stylized foliate background. The Capricorn constellation is rendered as a chain of raised stars across the upper left field, set against a dark polished background evoking the night sky. The astrological symbol for Capricorn (♑) and the date range 22/12–20/01 are inscribed in the field. The Cyrillic legend КОЗЕРОГ (Capricorn) appears in the lower left. The border ring features all twelve zodiac symbols in individual cartouches, alternating between polished and frosted finishes. |
