Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents a highly detailed antique-finished relief of a bald eagle rendered frontally in a landing or striking posture, with both wings dramatically spread wide and the primary and secondary feathers individually articulated in fine sculptural detail. The eagle's white-feathered head is turned slightly to its left, with a sharply hooked beak and piercing eye rendered in high relief. Both powerful taloned feet are thrust forward and open, dominating the lower central field, while the tail feathers fan outward beneath the body in a naturalistic spread. The coin's shaped outline follows the silhouette of the eagle's wings and tail, enhancing the three-dimensional sculptural effect of the overall composition.

Aanvullende informatie

The bald eagle has no geographic, historical, or cultural connection to the six BEAC member states — Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon. This is a bullion and collector piece issued purely for export sale, a practice the BEAC and similar African monetary unions have used since the 1990s to generate hard currency revenue from foreign collectors rather than domestic circulation. The coin will never trade as 2000 CFA francs in any member state market.
