| Opmerkingen |
BEAC's P#702 series replaced the long-running 2000 Francs notes that dated back to designs introduced in the 1990s. The 2020 issue incorporates colour-shifting ink alongside the embedded security thread — a relatively late adoption for a regional central bank serving six member states, where standardizing security upgrades across Cameroon, Chad, the Central African Republic, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon requires multilateral agreement before any revision moves to print.
Two signature combinations are catalogued for this type: Angue paired with Abbas Mahamat Tolli, and Angue paired with Bangui — reflecting the BEAC's practice of issuing notes under whichever Director-General and national governor signatures were current at time of printing.
