| Obverse description | The obverse features a cross-shaped flan modelled after the famous Bernward Cross, with the arms and vertical shaft densely engraved with medieval Latin inscriptions naming apostles and saints, including S. PETRI, S. STEPHANI, S. ANDREAE, S. DIONISEM, S. PAULI, and others, alongside the dedication legend BERNVVARDVS PRESVL FECIT HOC. At the centre of the cross, an inset circular medallion bears the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, surrounded by the legend REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN, the date 20 22, and the denomination 2000 FRANCS CFA. |
