| Obverse description | The obverse features an elaborate baroque-style cartouche at center, within which appears the coat of arms of the Republic of Cameroon — a shield bearing a sword and crossed fasces with the national motto PAIX/PEACE, TRAVAIL/WORK, and PATRIE/FATHERLAND — surrounded by sweeping high-relief acanthus scroll ornaments. Above the shield, a decorative banner reads FINE SILVER, surmounted by a stylized heart-and-wing motif. The peripheral legend, distributed around the milled border, reads BEAUTY & THE BEAST at the top arc and AG 999 · 2000 FRANCS CFA at the lower arc, with 2 OZ to the right. The date 2024 appears on a ribbon below the central shield, and the whole composition is executed in antique finish with a crosshatched background field. |

Cameroon has issued collectible silver under its own authority since the early 2000s, but the program accelerated sharply after the country partnered with the Czech Mint and later the Monnaie de Paris network of authorized distributors — effectively outsourcing design and production to European minting houses while retaining nominal issuing rights. These pieces circulate almost exclusively in the collector market; none reaches Cameroonian commerce.
The Beauty and the Beast license traces to the 1740 Villeneuve novella, not the Disney adaptation, though the latter is almost certainly the commercial driver here.
