Reverse description A highly detailed, high-relief depiction of Anubis, the ancient Egyptian jackal-headed deity, dominates the field. The god is rendered in a dynamic striding pose, his muscular anthropomorphic body adorned with selectively gilded Egyptian regalia including a broad collar, kilt, and loincloth, accented with blue and teal colorization. In his left hand he holds an ankh staff, highlighted with gilding and blue enamel coloring. To the right, a colorized Egyptian mummy figure stands before a column of hieroglyphic inscriptions, the mummy's wrappings decorated with orange and blue bands. A background of carved stone relief with additional hieroglyphic text fills the field, and the inscription 'ANUBIS' arcs along the upper border.
