| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Cameroon — a shield bearing a balance of justice above a divided field, flanked by crossed fasces with the national motto rendered in both French and English: 'PAIX / PEACE', 'TRAVAIL / WORK', and 'PATRIE / FATHERLAND' — all set within an elaborate baroque cartouche of scrolling acanthus foliage executed in high relief. The legend '2000 FRANCS CFA' arcs along the upper left and 'AMENHOTEP & NEFERTITI' along the upper right, with '2 OZ. AG 999' at the right, 'FINE SILVER' on a ribbon banner at the base, and the date '2023' in the lower exergue. The overall antique finish imparts a dramatic chiaroscuro effect to the ornate decorative border. |

Cameroon's modern collector coin program has leaned heavily on ancient Egyptian iconography since the 2010s, producing an extended run of issues through the Perth Mint and various European minting houses — none of which have any historical connection to Cameroon. The Amenhotep and Nefertiti pairing references the 18th Dynasty pharaoh Amenhotep III, whose reign circa 1388–1351 BC marked a prolonged period of Egyptian prosperity and diplomatic marriage alliances. Nefertiti herself is more closely associated with Amenhotep IV (Akhenaten), and the coupling of these two figures on a single coin reflects modern popular culture conflation rather than strict historical pairing.
