The EURion constellation — those small rings scattered across the face — was added to the 2000 Forint series specifically to trigger counterfeit detection in photocopiers and image-editing software. Its inclusion dates this variant to the mid-2000s security upgrade applied across Hungarian forint denominations, as Magyar Pénzjegynyomda progressively retrofitted the series rather than issuing entirely redesigned notes.
Vagyóczky handled both the design and engraving of the obverse — an unusual consolidation of roles, and one that gives the intaglio work a particular consistency of line.
