Beneath the castle view, an extended passage in Hungarian from the epic poem Zrinyiász by Miklós Zrínyi is engraved in multiple lines across the lower field, serving as a literary tribute to the heroic last stand at Szigetvár in 1566. The legend SZIGETVÁRI VÁR arcs prominently along the upper rim above the castle depiction. A small engraver's monogram is visible at the lower right of the castle scene. |
